Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and writer who was awarded numerous awards. Her name is well-known for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). The daughter of a family of artists in New York she wished to work in the field of art. She began working as a photo assistant later moved into acting and modeling. Her first two movies were noticed, and she was awarded recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box office star worldwide. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she had her handprints and signature engraved. Other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, came out. MacGraw is married three times.
